You’re My Hero is a comedy series on CBC Gem starring Sean Towgood, about a twenty-something with Cerebral Palsy navigating a world not designed for wheels.
As the content creator and social media manager for You're My Hero, I played a crucial role in enhancing the online presence of the show. My tasks and responsibilities include:
Editing clips from the show's episodes specifically for You're My Hero's social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Conducting interviews with the cast and crew, as well as capturing behind-the-scenes footage. This allowed us to produce captivating content that explores the representation of disability in the media and identifies areas for improvement.
Implementing paid advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram. These campaigns utilized carefully selected episode clips to maximize their impact.
Repurposing the show's poster into visually appealing cover and profile photos to maintain a consistent aesthetic across our social platforms.
Creating animated GIFs and stickers featuring the cast, which fans could use in their Stories.
Designing and developing a website with links to the episodes, cast bios, and more info about the series.
Designing and developing a landing page website that provides easy access to the episodes, cast bios, and additional information about the series.
