So something fun and exciting happened to start off 2017…I was interviewed for TV!
“Swak Na Swak” (Livelihood that Fits) is a TV show in the Philippines that features local entrepreneurs and their businesses. After interviewing my mom about her dessert products a few months back, they showed interest in my business as well. Before I knew it we’ve scheduled a filming day in less than a week after receiving their call!
I was halfway through redecorating my room for 2017 at that time– as in, my 2016 wall decor was in a dusty pile on the floor, along with some craft materials for when I had the time to DIY decors. So you can just imagine the superhuman decorating strength I suddenly obtained at the thought of a TV crew coming in a few days 😂
And just for the fun of it (also because it’s not everyday these things happen), I filmed a behind-the-scenes vlog about what went on the day I had my interview! Enjoy!
Click here to watch the actual feature! I discussed my work, how I find clients, and the ups and downs of freelancing (with subtitles for English-speaking folks)
Lastly, here’s a GIF animation I made for them of animals holding up the letters of the show title:
Thank you “Swak Na Swak” crew for having me! And thanks to everyone who sent nice messages after finding my work through the show! I hardly consider myself influential so suddenly receiving messages about how inspiring my interview was felt like an indescribable mixture of happiness and disbelief 😅
